October 6 Principal Meeting
  1. Principal Competencies and the Alliance to Reform Education LeadershipPlease use the Discussion tab above and provide your thoughts as replies to the threads included there. An important consideration is for you to add any competencies that you feel are not addressed in the provided lists - particularly competencies that relate directly to the principal's impact on learning and achievement.
  2. Use of social media tools at the campus level
A committee composed of campus principals and central office staff has produced a set of guidelines that will enable the use of Twitter and Facebook at the campus level as another means to contact parents and students regarding campus news. These campus accounts will be supported by the Instructional Technology department. Those guidelines are available for your review and consideration. Staff access to Twitter and Facebook will be available beginning October 11. There should be no staff use of personal accounts on Twitter or Facebook during the school day.
  3. Optional 2nd Wednesday Principal Leadership and Learning sessions
These sessions will use a virtual format and be recorded for principals who are not able to participate live at the designated time. The first session on October 13 will be hosted by Danny Modisette and more details will be available soon.
